Biography
Charlie Ochoa became Black Hawk College’s first-ever men’s soccer coach in August 2020. In 2023, he led the Braves to their first playoff season run, ending the season 11‑6‑1.
Ochoa coached the Davenport (IA) West High School boys’ soccer team from 2018‑21 and was an assistant boys’ soccer coach at Assumption High School in Davenport from 2012‑17.
He graduated from Muscatine (IA) High School in 2004. Ochoa attended Scott Community College where he played soccer for two years and was an NJCAA All-Conference Goalkeeper Honorable Mention in 2006.
In 2007, Ochoa transferred to St. Ambrose University where he was part of the soccer and football programs. He graduated in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design/marketing.
